activities

In and around Banyalbufar, there is a wealth of outdoor activities, depending on the time of year. Walks in the woods, right next to the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, are typical for the area. Swimming and snorkelling in one of the many coves is another recommended activity. Another activity, maybe less spiritual but more spirituous, may be visiting the wineries where the Malvasia is sold, a wine that was to be found on the table of the kings of Aragon in the Middle Ages. And another pleasure, this one definitely spiritual, will be to watch the sunset, either listening to the sounds of Nature or some symphony by Tchaikovsky or Mahler through your earphones.

HIKING TRAILS

GR-221

The extensive GR-221 or Dry Stone Route is a road that connects all the villages in the Serra de Tramuntana, from Port d’Andratx to Pollença. It passes through our village and from here you can move on to Esporles or Estellencs. If you wish, we could pick you up with our car at the end of the walk, or take you to the starting point, so that the hotel is the destination of the outing.

SA VOLTA DES GENERAL

One of the most beautiful walks in Banyalbufar is the Sa Volta des General. It’s a broad and easy path that leaves our village and reaches Es Port des Canonge. You can walk it in less than an hour and a half through a beautiful forest, while breathing in fresh clean air and contemplating the deep blue sea. Or you can have a refreshing swim and have a drink or lunch in one of the nearby restaurants. If you wish, we could send a car there to bring you back to the hotel.

SA TORRE DES VERGER

The Atalaia des Verger or “Sa Torreta”, as it is popularly called, is a recently restored 16th century defence tower. A scenery out of some epic or romantic tale, and an exceptional viewpoint from where you can watch one of the best sunsets on the Mediterranean Sea.
